Our May 2026 Budget Edition of The Next Move is now available.

This edition explores the major announcements from the 2026–27 Federal Budget, including proposed changes to capital gains tax, negative gearing, discretionary trusts, superannuation, electric vehicle FBT concessions and more.

With many of these measures still subject to legislation, there is understandably a lot of uncertainty around what the changes may ultimately mean in practice. As further detail becomes available, we will continue reviewing the developments closely and providing updates to help our clients navigate the changes ahead.

If you have any questions about how these proposed changes may affect you, please contact our office

⏰ Reminder: Pay Day Super is coming - less than 2 months to go.

From 1 July 2026, super must be paid at the same time as wages — not quarterly.

For employers, that means:

Super paid every pay run
Payments made within 7 days of payday
No more quarterly deadlines

Now’s the time to get ready

✔ Check your payroll system
✔ Talk to your accountant or provider
✔ Plan for the cash flow shift

Getting organised early will make this a much smoother change for your business.

Pay Day Super is coming – what employers need to know

From 1 July 2026, super will need to be paid at the same time as wages, instead of quarterly.

What’s changing?

Super is paid each pay cycle (weekly, fortnightly or monthly)
Payments need to reach funds within 7 days of payday
The current quarterly system will no longer apply

What this means for your business

* Cash flow planning becomes more important

Why it matters

This change is designed to reduce late or unpaid super and help employees build their savings sooner.

What you can do now

* Check your payroll and super systems are ready
* Start planning for the cash flow impact
* Give us a call if you have any questions.
