There's only two months left to get your free $20K from the government!

Here's what we mean:

✅ The government has extended the $20,000 instant asset write-off until June 30th this year
✅ If you purchase and use/install a "qualifying"" asset in your business you may be eligible for a 100% deduction
✅ In many cases, this means you can spend up to $20K and claim $20K back within this tax year!

A big BUT.

❌ Not all assets qualify (I'm looking at you Dave, do not plan an impromptu trip to the Ford Dealership on June 29th).
❌ It's not always a good idea to spend your cash buffer just to get a write-off, especially in this economy.

For some businesses, this is a goldmine opportunity to take advantage of, for others it's a dangerous distraction.

During economic uncertainty, making time to work "on" your business may be the factor in determining how well you fare this year.

But you need headspace to think strategically, plan proactively, and pivot (yes, we're back there again!) as needed.

I don't know about you... but that seems to be impossible after I open up my emails and see 247 unread messages to reply to!

For the next 30 days try to delay your task list (working "in" the business) until you've tackled something strategic first.

Trust us, your business will thank you ⏲️ ✅

While we're deep into tax planning season at our firm, we're also preparing for what's ahead - with the new AML legislation coming into effect soon.

Cracking down on crooks is obviously a good thing, but the professional service communities are the ones tasked with 'policing' these policies. 😠

In simple terms: more paperwork, processes, and admin.

Not just for us, but for all new clients entering engagements from July.

What's not to love?? 🤷‍♂️

This change will impact all accounting service providers, along with real estate agents, conveyancers, lawyers, and agents involved in business sale transactions among others.

If you operate a business in any of these categories, it's time to start reviewing your client onboarding and data processes now. 👌
