Victorian employers: WorkCover certification is due Friday 23 October for large employers.

Small employers have until Friday 19 March 2027. It is also a good time to review recent Payday Super payments and follow up anything rejected, returned or late. Our October checklist, written by Steven Groves, covers what to review, what to submit and when to ask for help.

Lodging your own tax return this year? ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฌ ๐—ข๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ.

30 October is the due date for self-lodged returns for the 2025-26 income year. It's also the last day to get on a registered tax agent's client list.

Get on our client list by 30 October and we'll take it from there. Your return is then generally not due until 15 May 2027. That's more time, and one less thing on your plate.

An earlier date applies if you had a prior year return outstanding at 30 June 2026, or if your last return showed tax payable of $20,000 or more. Not sure which applies to you? Ask the team.

We are glad to welcome six new faces across the group. At the back is Brett, our new Senior Client Manager. May Ann Ong and Matthew Virgo have joined the Eager and Partners team in Bairnsdale, and Charlotte Stephenson has joined the Lakes Entrance office. All three have come on board as accountants, part of the wider Factor1 group across regional Victoria.
