Fun fact: National Donut Day started in 1938 to honour volunteers who served donuts to troops during WWI - and later, Red Cross volunteers who did the same were affectionately known as the “Donut Dollies.” 💛

Today we say goodbye to Miss Potts.

Courtney stepped into her role on our admin team two years ago, and while we are sad to see her go, we are incredibly grateful for all the amazing efforts she made during her time here.

Her dedication, care, and contributions have left a lasting impact, and she will be greatly missed. We wish her all the very best in her next chapter.

With the Federal Budget released on Tuesday night, we know you may have questions about how it could impact you.

• Up to $250 annual tax offset for working Australians (from 2027–28)
• $1,000 instant deduction for work-related expenses
• Continued focus on easing cost-of-living pressures

🏡 Housing & investment changes
• Negative gearing limited to new builds from July 2027
• Capital gains tax reforms replacing the current discount with an inflation-based approach
• Measures aimed at improving housing affordability and supply

🧾 Tax reform
• New 30% minimum tax on certain trusts from July 2028 - restructure
• Broader shifts designed to rebalance the system towards wage earners
• Restructure Rollover Relief: From 1 July 2027, a three-year rollover relief will be available to facilitate restructuring from discretionary trusts into companies or fixed trusts without triggering immediate capital gains tax (CGT) consequences

🏥 Health & care funding
• Increased investment in public hospitals and Medicare services
• Permanent funding for urgent care clinics
• Changes to NDIS to improve sustainability
