Rising from nothing
June 2015 that is when it all started. The corporate world is brutal and not an arena I associate with anymore. We, myself, 3 young kids and my wife were left on the street with little more than the clothes on our back and a car that belonged to the bank with a small tent.
I was working for a global FMCG company doing what I have studied and worked for, for almost 3 decades and when contract terms were not complied with and me questioning those terms I became the scapegoat for corporate bullies, inadequate to perform their duties and capable of doing the right thing.
The road to forgive those people was a narrow, long, hard road and the emotional scars will forever be there, but in life hardship has a lesson. That lesson taught us to work for what we want, what we need and not to be a slave to a system that was designed to build someone else’s dream.
We remind ourselves daily that no matter how big the thunder storm or dark the night, the sun is always shining. The only thing that changed is our perspective. So by closing a door you inadvertently open another, for the better.
