Recent investigations by The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age in their 'Blood Oil' series revealed that many Australian super funds have been indirectly linked to Russian-origin oil through infrastructure investments — even while branding themselves as ethical or sustainable.

These 'ESG-lite' strategies of large Australian Super funds often fail to account for full supply chains — including fuel terminals and pipelines — that are facilitating the movement and storage of refined Russian oil.
