Did you know my Profit First journey actually started with something completely different from bookkeeping? 💧✨

I’ve always wanted to make a bit of a difference in the world, and for me, that meant helping build wells in developing countries. 🏜️

When communities have access to clean water closer to home, young girls don’t have to spend hours each day walking to collect it. Instead, they can go to school, learn, and have the chance to dream bigger. 💙

That’s one of the reasons Profit First became so meaningful to me. It helped me align my business with what I’m passionate about and create the financial capacity to keep giving back.

For me, business isn’t just about making money, it’s about making an impact too.

Some people leave behind music.

Some leave behind memories.

And some leave behind a way of seeing the world.

Dolly Parton has done all three.

She’s reminded generations that you can be successful without losing your heart. That you can build something extraordinary while still lifting other people up. And that where you start doesn’t have to determine where you end up.

One of her words has always stayed with me:

“If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.”

There’s something so true about that.

In business, in life, and in the pursuit of the things that matter to us, we don’t get to choose only the beautiful parts.
The uncertainty.

The setbacks.
The seasons where nothing seems to be moving.
They’re part of the journey too.

But perhaps the real lesson is that the rain isn't proof you’re doing something wrong.
Sometimes, it’s simply part of what makes the rainbow possible.

Dolly’s legacy is a beautiful reminder that success isn't just about what you achieve.
