We’ve commenced court proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia against Yan Qun Ke, seeking civil penalties and a court order to stop her from providing tax agent services while not a registered tax practitioner. A tax agent has breached the Code of Professional Conduct by failing to adequately supervise an employee under their control. The employee was allowed to use the tax agent’s personal myGovID credentials, giving them access to confidential taxpayer information.
