Chapter Leadership on the Global Stage! – Australia Spotlight

We are proud to share that CA Shantilal Jain, Vice Chairperson – Australian (Sydney) Chapter of ICAI, was invited as a Speaker at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India WOFA 2.0, a prestigious international forum bringing together global thought leaders. At the event, he delivered an insightful session focused on cross-border mobility between Australia and Asia-Pacific, highlighting the importance of understanding cultural differences, professional etiquette, and local business practices.

He emphasized that beyond qualifications and technical expertise, learning and respecting the culture of the country you work in is key to long-term success. Drawing from Australia’s multicultural professional landscape, he shared practical perspectives on adapting to workplace expectations, communication styles, regulatory environments, and building trust in diverse teams.

His message was clear - technical competence opens doors, but cultural intelligence builds lasting careers.

This invitation reflects the growing global recognition of the Australian (Sydney) Chapter of ICAI and its leadership’s contribution to international professional dialogue.

We congratulate CA Shantilal Jain on this distinguished achievement and proudly celebrate Australia’s representation on the global platform.

Thrilled to share that our Chapter Chairperson, Tanuja Bissa, was invited as a speaker at the World Forum of Accountants 2.0 – a premier global gathering for accounting professionals!

Key Highlights from Tanuja's Session

Topic: Green Financing – Navigating the Regulatory & Policy Landscape

Tanuja brought her deep thought leadership in not-for-profit finance and sustainability to this accounting-focused audience.
She unpacked the reform and maturity gap between both nations' green finance frameworks, highlighting practical ways accountants can drive mutual learning and progress.
In audience Q&A, Tanuja emphasised how ECTA and other trade agreements have flung open doors for accountants through certifications, compliances, and sustainability advisory roles.

She closed powerfully: _Every investment decision must balance market returns with the organisation's risk appetite, growth strategy, and capital priorities._

The Chapter is immensely proud of Tanuja elevating social impact leadership on this global accounting platform. This invitation reflects the growing global recognition of the Australian (Sydney) Chapter of ICAI and its leadership’s contribution to international professional and trade dialogue. Outstanding representation Australian (Sydney) Chapter of ICAI!
