The month has gotten away from me but here are the August due dates.

If you’re on a monthly activity statement cycle your July 2026 due date for submission and payment is 21st August.

If you submit your BAS via a BAS Agent (like me) you receive an automatic extension until 25th August 2026 for your June 2026 Qtr BAS.

For some industries, if you pay contractors during the year you will need to submit your 2026 Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR) by 28th August 2026. Reach out if you want to know if this applies to your business.

Fallen behind on your bookkeeping? You're honestly not alone, it's one of the most common things I see with small business owners.

That's where a bookkeeper makes the biggest difference. I know how to work through a backlog efficiently, spot what actually needs fixing versus what can wait, and get everything reconciled properly without you having to stress over the details.

If your books have been sitting untouched for longer than you'd like to admit, send me a message. No judgement at all, we've all been there.

Thinking about buying new equipment before EOFY to reduce your tax bill? 💸

Here are a few things to keep in mind 👇

✔️ Instant asset write-off eligibility depends on current ATO rules and thresholds
✔️ The asset generally needs to be installed and ready for use before 30 June
✔️ Purchasing something your business doesn’t genuinely need may not improve your overall cash position

A tax deduction is not the same as getting the money back.

Spending money purely for a deduction can still leave your business with less cash in the bank.

Good business decisions should come first - tax outcomes second. ✅

If you’re unsure how EOFY purchases may affect your business, speak with your registered tax professional for advice specific to your situation.
