That’s why proactive planning is so important. With the right advice, rural businesses can better manage seasonal pressure, plan for tax obligations, structure finances more effectively and make confident decisions across the year.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Horizon’s Family Charity Day on Sunday.

We were blown away by the support from our local community, with a few hundred people coming through over the course of the day to enjoy the BBQ, kids’ activities, baked goods and plenty of friendly faces.

A special mention must go to our very own Bec Cherry, who baked literally hundreds of the most creative and delicious cupcakes for the day. They looked incredible, tasted even better, and helped bring in plenty of generous donations.

Most importantly, we’re thrilled to share that together, we raised $3,347 for Protea Place.

Protea Place provides a safe and welcoming space for vulnerable women in our community, offering hot meals, showers, essential supplies and compassionate support. We’re so grateful to be able to contribute to their work and help ensure more women in Toowoomba can access care, connection, dignity and hope.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, bought a cupcake, shared a sausage, volunteered, baked, helped set up or simply showed up with a smile. Days like this are a reminder of what can happen when community comes together for a cause that matters.

From all of us at Horizon — thank you. 💛
