Today we're celebrating a milestone for two of our team members, with both Georgia and Tammie marking five years at Carey Group.

Georgia has worked across both our Ingham and Townsville offices during her time with Carey Group. Over the past five years, she's built great relationships with clients and become a familiar face to many, always happy to lend a hand wherever needed.

Tammie has been an important part of our Townsville team as an Accounting Support Officer. Her attention to detail, organisation and support for the team play a big part in keeping the office running day to day.

Five years is a significant milestone, and we're grateful for everything Georgia and Tammie have contributed during their time with Carey Group.

This merger brings together three respected North Queensland firms, including the recently acquired Fahey & Walsh team, united by a shared commitment to helping families, businesses and communities thrive.

Based in our Ingham office, John has been a valued member of the team for the past decade, building strong relationships with clients and colleagues and becoming a familiar face to many in the local community.

Over the years, John has contributed significantly to the growth of our business through his knowledge, professionalism and genuine commitment to helping clients achieve their goals.

Inspiring the next generation 👏

Yesterday, Ruth, Ashley and Rachel attended the Malanda State High School Careers Expo on behalf of Carey Group, meeting students from across the region and showcasing the many career opportunities in accounting, business advisory and financial services.

The expo provided students with the opportunity to explore career pathways, learn about further education and training options, and connect directly with local employers.

We loved chatting with so many enthusiastic young people about their ambitions and the many different pathways available within our industry.

A big thank you to Malanda State High School for organising such a fantastic event.

On Friday night, Carey Group's Kala Achurra attended the Townsville Chamber Business Awards as a guest of Rob McCahill from Projectick who was a finalist in the Small Business Award category.

As one of our Client Services Officers, Katie is often the person helping keep everything on track behind the scenes.

Meet Scott Gibson, owner of Scott Gibson Building.

Around 20 years ago, Scott started out studying engineering but quickly realised it wasn’t the right fit. Wanting something more hands-on and outdoors, Scott made the move into carpentry, following in the footsteps of his dad, a local builder.

Since then, Scott has built a business of his own, working across North Queensland on a range of residential, renovation and community projects, including current work in Ingham supporting local housing initiatives.

Along the way, Scott has worked closely with the Carey Group team, particularly Monique Mowat and Matt Carey, gaining advice and support at different stages of the journey.

We’re proud to support Scott and be part of his journey as the business continues to grow.
