Johns biggest takeaway? AI is redefining how we work. From JAX and XeroForce to Microsoft 365 integration and smarter analytics, the focus is on removing repetitive tasks so accountants can spend more time delivering strategic advice and building stronger client relationships.

The future of accounting isn't Human or AI—it's Human + AI. Exciting times ahead for our profession and for BSP Advisory Group.

Last night we celebrated the end of another financial year with a festive Christmas in July dinner at the Adelaide Hotel Moruya Great food, great company, and plenty of laughs were enjoyed by all.

A special shout out to Amy, who won the award for festive spirit, getting creative and making her own Christmas sweater.

Tessa, Ty, Tim and Louise recently travelled to the Philippines to join our team for the Frontline Accounting Team Building Event 2026.

It was a fantastic experience filled with teamwork, connection and plenty of fun, helping to strengthen both friendships and working relationships across our team.

A few surprising hidden talents were discovered with the paint & sip where some impressive artistic skills came to light!

We wrapped up a little early today and swapped spreadsheets for clay as the team headed out for a team building afternoon doing pottery!

It was a great chance to step away from the desks, get creative and share some laughs together outside of the office.

Big changes are coming for small businesses!

The ATO Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) will be closing on 30 June 2026, with Payday Super starting from 1 July 2026.

So, what does this mean for you?

If you’ve been using the ATO’s SBSCH, its time to start planning your transition to an accounting software solution that can handle your super payments.

Here’s what to keep in mind:
✔️ Super will need to be paid within 7 business days of each pay run
✔️ Planning ahead is key to avoiding delays or penalties
✔️ Getting the right advice now can save you time and stress later

Eligible employers can pay super for their employees using the SBSCH until 30 June 2026.
