New Secure Minerds Bell Client Portal

While email is convenient, it is not the safest way for transmitting confidential documents, especially those with personal financial information.

Starting in March 2026, you will receive important financial documents through a new secure adviser portal designed to enhance data security, improve delivery reliability, and streamline document management while reducing paper use.

You will be notified via email when documents are ready and you will be able to securely access, download, acknowledge, and organize records online, facilitating smoother communication with our advice team.

Clients are advised to watch for a welcome email with portal access instructions, keep their email updated, and contact the office for assistance if needed.

We are committed to the privacy and security of your personal information, and providing modern, high-quality advice services through this secure delivery method.

For now, there’s nothing you need to do. When we next send you a document, you’ll receive an email from us, and you can follow the steps to get started.

Staff Changes & Appointments

As a result of business growth in the last few years , we are pleased to announce a couple of important internal changes.

Bryon Collins, who joined us in early 2023 under our Graduate Adviser program and has been closely supporting Daran Thompson (and studying his Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning), is commencing his Financial Planner Professional Year (PY).

During his PY, he will be mentored by Senior Advisers Paul Cameron and Daran. This will include attending client meetings with them. During his PY, Bryon won’t be able to provide advice in his own right. When he successfully completes his PY in early 2027, he will become authorised to do so.

Stepping into Bryon’s support role with Daran, we are thrilled to let you know that Kiana Thurston joined the team full-time in January.

Kiana has been working with us since last March, originally as part of an Adelaide University placement, then on a part-time basis since completing her degree in Economics, Finance & Banking in November.

Many of you may know me from my 15 years working with Super SA, where I proudly served as the financial planning leader. For many of those years, I had the privilege of sitting beside you, guiding your financial journey and helping you make decisions that supported your future.
In 2022, my work with Super SA came to an end, and now, as of June 2025, the financial planning services previously contracted to Industry Fund Services have also ceased, leaving many without the support and guidance they once relied on.

I know that for some, this may have come as a shock and left you feeling uneasy about your financial future — and that’s something I personally take to heart. Having supported some of you over many years, I developed some fantastic relationships with clients who weren’t just another number, but people with businesses, family, careers, properties, investments and a plan to make the most of what life has to offer. To me, it’s not just about numbers or retirement balances — it’s about feeling secure, supported, and confident in your future.

Following this recent news, I am reaching out to my network and past clients to offer my support. Celebrating 50 Years in Business - Minerds Bell Consultancy Group
Last Sunday, 150 clients and team members gathered at the Pavilion in the beautiful Veale Gardens on South Terrace to celebrate 50 years in business. The event was filled with food, drinks, and, of course, a cake!
When founder Clive Harris opened the doors to his financial advice business in 1975, he could not have imagined that 50 years later, he would be celebrating the success of his business with three generations of his family.
Now succeeded by his son Andrew Harris, Minerds Bell has grown and adapted over time, offering a multi-disciplined service to their clients, including retirement planning, superannuation, aged care, and personal insurance advice.
Principal Andrew Harris highlighted their mantra, "Your future is our business," and noted that the success and longevity of the business are owed to the support of his business partners and many talented, dedicated staff. However, he emphasised that the real heroes are the wonderful clients and their long-term relationships and friendships, which have helped him forge a love for financial advice and working with his team and clients over time.
Congratulations to Andrew, Daran, Nat, Will, Paul, and the entire Minerds Bell team on this amazing milestone.

Happy Christmas from the Minerds Bell team

We had a special visitor at the office yesterday! It must be that time of year.

After a great year, we will be closing at 3pm today and having a break over the Christmas & New Year period. Our office will be reopening on Monday 6th January 2025.

Our Advisers will check their emails periodically over the break but generally will respond on their return to the office from the 6th of January. Some of us will be taking a slightly longer break, but the office will be open from the 6th.

We would like to thank you for your continuing support and wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

We look forward to seeing you again in 2025.
