Is it against Google’s rules to ask for reviews? ⭐️

👉🏼 Not at all. In fact, Google encourages businesses to invite customers to share their experiences through reviews, particularly when the feedback is genuine and voluntary.

The important distinction is how those reviews are obtained. Businesses should never offer incentives such as discounts, gifts, or rewards in exchange for reviews. It's also against Google's guidelines to selectively request reviews only from customers who are likely to leave positive feedback, a practice commonly known as review gating.

A simple review card displayed at your counter is a transparent and compliant approach. Every customer has the same opportunity to provide honest feedback, whether positive or negative. You're simply making the review process easier and more accessible, not influencing the outcome.

Rather than pushing the boundaries, you're following Google's recommended approach by encouraging authentic customer feedback in a fair and open way.
