The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has, through its circular dated 15 March 2026, extended the deadline for online submission of the VAT Return for the tax period of February 2026 via the e-VAT system.

In light of the extended public holidays occasioned by Eid-ul-Fitr and Independence Day, together with technical slowness in the e-VAT system server, the submission deadline has been extended up to 29 March 2026.

Accordingly, registered taxpayers may submit their VAT Return for the period of February 2026 through the e-VAT system on or before 29 March 2026.

This extension provides additional time for taxpayers to meet their compliance obligations in a timely and orderly manner.
