Mr is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) with an extensive career spanning high-profile executive finance, auditing, and corporate governance roles across Bangladesh and the United Kingdom. Over his distinguished career, he has served as Finance Director at Linde Bangladesh Limited (formerly BOC Bangladesh), Financial Management Consultant for the World Bank, CFO at Link3 Technology Limited, and CFO & Company Secretary at Summit Turbine Group, alongside key audit management roles in the UK with Ivan Sopher & Co. and A.D. Fisher & Co.

Beyond his corporate executive leadership, Azizur brings exceptional governance expertise to our firm, having served as Nominated Chairman of Jamuna Oil PLC and Independent Director & Chairman of the Board Audit Committee at Reliance Insurance PLC. His active contributions to policy and trade as a former member of the Trade, Tariff & Taxation Sub-Committees of both FICCI and MCCI Dhaka further solidify his position as a respected financial leader. His joining significantly strengthens our firm’s commitment to delivering top-tier audit, financial advisory, and strategic consultancy services.

Mr Emdad holds a triple professional qualification as a Fellow Member of ICAB, a Fellow Member of ICMAB, and a Member of the AICPA (USA). He brings a rich international perspective to our practice, having served for over two decades as the Chief Internal Auditor at Zahid Group in Saudi Arabia, as well as holding senior finance leadership positions across Kuwait and the UAE. In Bangladesh, he has previously served as Senior Partner at J U Ahmed & Co., Chartered Accountants, and CFO & Company Secretary at PRAN-RFL Group. Emdad specializes in statutory, forensic, internal, cost, and ISO audits, alongside deep expertise in treasury management, public issues of securities, costing, and enterprise risk management. His commitment to corporate governance is reflected in his board experience as an Independent Director and Audit Committee Chairman at NRBC Bank PLC, as well as his leadership roles as President of the ICMAB Saudi Arabia Chapter and the Bangladesh Accounting and Finance Professionals Association. Sharing a glimpse from our recent seminar (Panel Discussion Part) in Chattogram on “Macroeconomic Outlook and Impact of Finance Act, 2026.”

First, as highlighted by Mr. Shahadat Hossain FCA, navigating the high-level amendments in the Income Tax Act and VAT Act requires businesses to adapt quickly. The introduction of mandatory tax computation certificates prepared by CAs, CMAs, or ITPs marks a vital step toward enhancing financial transparency, bringing greater accountability, and ultimately benefiting taxpayers through disciplined compliance.

Second, turning to individual taxpayers and small investors as elaborated by Mr. Shaifur Rahman Majumder, MD & CEO of CSE, the structural shifts in the Finance Act 2026 directly influence personal financial planning, tax liabilities, and market confidence, emphasizing the need for informed investment and prudent management at the individual level.

And finally, addressing the regulatory and appellate landscape as shared by Tax Commissioner, Ms. Shamina Islam adjustments such as the shifting of pre-appeal tax payment requirements between first appeals and the Appellate Tribunal introduce critical procedural dynamics that taxpayers and practitioners must carefully navigate.
