Ian Thomas on tour!

Hi Folks,

Less than a week before the tour begins in Orillia on April 28th. Read and appreciate your many comments on last week's post and want to provide some background on venue selection.

My concert bookings are all handled by the team at Shantero, and they select the venues based on suitability and availability. Some venues are too small and others too large. Some are already booked and not available for the desired dates. Familiarity with the venue is also important, too. When planning a tour we also look at optimizing travel costs and logistics by grouping concerts in reasonable proximity to one another. At my age, the less wheel time, the better!

As you can see, a number of considerations go into where and when we perform. That said, I take all your requests to heart, and if there's an opportunity in the future to do a selective "one-off" here and there, we'll take a good look at it. I'd love to be able to play everywhere like in the good old days, but that ship has sailed.

Anyway, your comments and suggestions are much appreciated. Looking forward to starting the tour and hope to see you out there.
