💙 In Loving Memory of Leonard John Bick (1956–2026) 💙
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our dear friend, colleague, and family member, Leonard John Bick, who was called to heaven on Sunday, January 25th. Surrounded by love, and after a long and courageous journey with Alzheimer’s, Leonard is now at peace with his Heavenly Father.
A devoted husband, a dedicated father, and a proud Opa, Leonard built his life around family. He will be remembered for the warmth of his presence, his unwavering love, and the joy he brought to those blessed to be part of his world.
Over the past days, an outpouring of condolences has reflected just how deeply Leonard touched the lives of many. Messages have spoken of his kindness, his steady wisdom, his humour, and the way he made everyone feel welcomed and valued. Friends, colleagues, and community members alike have shared stories of his generosity, his ability to listen, and his ability to always find time for others—whether through mentoring, his work in the community, or simply offering a reassuring word when it was needed most.
Leonard was a committed entrepreneur and financial planner for more than 30 years, and his professional impact was matched only by the personal connections he formed along the way. He was proud to give back, serving actively in community organizations, offering guidance to those starting out in business, and bringing light-hearted camaraderie wherever he went—including on the hockey rink.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, service, and treasured family traditions. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate Gateside team at Idlewylde Manor for their care and support.
A private funeral has already taken place.
In honour of Leonard’s memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
May the love expressed in countless messages of condolence serve as a reminder of the remarkable life he lived and the lasting imprint he leaves on all who knew him. 🤍
