This is fun. Incase you didn’t know, CRA in all their wisdom, has decided to close drop boxes, so you can no longer drop off your papers (audits, first time filers, non resident returns, paper returns and several other returns).

So now your only option is to set up your MYCRA account and hope you don’t get locked out, pay a courier a lot of money, or send it through Canada post and hope they aren’t on strike that week and actually deliver it.

I don’t have words to properly express the gratitude I have for all my clients, and especially my Chaos Coordinator Jann Perry. It really is humbling when you bring your friends and family, and I am sincerely grateful.

I am off for the next 2 weeks, back in the office May 19th ready to take on more of the insanity!

Holy cow-SUPER humbled by how many of you brought your friends this year!

Unfortunately that means we are fully booked until the April 30 deadline. All returns that are in or people who already have an appointment will be filed on time. Anyone who drops off-we can’t guarantee it will be filed on time as our priority is making sure those files that are already in get processed on time.

We are almost completely full for appointments before the April 30 tax deadline, so if you want a spot, call 268-0089 sooner than later.

Once we are full, we can’t guarantee the returns will be filed on before the deadline, which could result in interest and penalties for you.

This week is fully booked, so you are down to Apr 13-24th for appointments to file before the personal tax deadline. You can drop off as well, but whatever is dropped off Apr 25th probably won’t be filed on time.

Getting down to the wire-we are only taking files in until April 25-anything dropped off after that might not be filed on time.

Best to call 204-268-0089 to book a time before all the spots fill up or drop off anytime at 726 Park Ave in Beausejour before 5pm April 25.

You can also email [email protected] and we can do everything online.

Save time and $ by bringing a tax summary from the pharmacy/care provider instead of individual receipts.

Today’s tax tips-taking pics of slips.

Yes, you can take pics of slips and text or email them over, but here are some tricks to help make the process smoother:
1-turn the lights on first-most cameras don’t take great pics in the dark
2-focus on the document, not the background. I need the numbers from the page, I don’t need to know what’s on your floor
3-make sure you can read the numbers-if you can’t read them, I can’t read them.
4-make sure the document is visible-it isn’t helpful taking a pic of the room with a paper on the middle of the table. Take a pic of just the page please
5-send as 1 file, not 17 emails as sometimes things get missed, and it’s a lot easier keeping track when everything is together.

Office hours are 8:30-6:30 M-F and Sat by appointment. Email and text are 24/7. Best to call to book an appointment if you want it prepared while you wait, or drop off anytime.

-When you have ALL your information, call 204-268-0089 to book an appointment and we can prepare your return while you wait. We can only see what you show us-there is no magic button to see all your slips, so bring all your information.

If you drop in, we can take your information, but you may have to wait a day or to get your return back.
