Ques 1 - What are Tution Credits ?
Answer - In Canada, tuition tax credits can be claimed by eligible students to reduce their income tax. These credits are calculated based on the amount of tuition and eligible fees paid for post-secondary education. The credits can be used to reduce the amount of federal and provincial or territorial tax owed, or they can be transferred to a spouse, common-law partner, parent, or grandparent. Unused credits can be carried forward to future years.

Ques 2 - Are tution credits refunded in Cash?
Answer - Tuition tax credits in Canada are non-refundable, which means they can only be used to reduce the amount of income tax owed. If the tax owed is less than the total amount of tuition tax credits, the excess credits can be carried forward to future years, but they cannot be refunded as cash.
