Please do not fall for any of the CRA scams that are currently circulating via text. The CRA will never text you about the Canada Carbon Rebate- which is ending soon! Remember, if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!

Hi Wheat City Tax friends! Several people have reached out tonight to see if the e-transfer text for their Carbon Tax Credit is legit. It is NOT. The CRA will never text you or send something by e-transfer!

A reminder that the Canada Revenue Agency will never text you that you have a ‘reimbursement’- especially at 11:30 on a Sunday night. Beware of scammers everyone! If it seems too good to be true, it likely is!
