us a different direction and it gave us hope again. Growing up there were a few things that always were pillars of what we wanted in a career. We wanted to make sure that we could take the time whenever needed so that we did not have to miss out on anything, and not have our time dictated by the “almighty dollar” or a boss. We also knew that we wanted some sort of ability to change people’s lives and be significant. We wanted to be somebody and have the ability to make the world a better place because we were there, including leaving a legacy behind for our own family that followed. After seeing the need for more financial literacy, and the opportunity for long term growth and security, we started our own financial brokerage. We feel so fortunate to be a part of a company where a team environment, recognition for hard work, the ability to compete, and being in control of our own time is a daily thing. We could see the life we always dreamed of, and we felt we found the road map to get there. Now our mission is to help others who desire more out of life to help them realize that their goals and dreams are more attainable than they think. Imagine my disappointment when the Money Laundering course wasn't teaching secret millionaire hacks. 😒

Instead it was:

"Don't launder money."
"Don't help people launder money."
"Don't accidentally launder money."

Cool. Got it. 😂

But if you're genuinely curious about how to make more money, manage it better, invest wisely, and keep more of what you earn legally, that's a conversation I'm happy to have.

Most people aren't actually looking for ways to launder money. They're looking for ways to build wealth, create more income, make smarter financial decisions, and stop giving away money they don't need to.

I've been through things. So have you. So has everyone else.

At some point, the question stops being "What happened to me?" and becomes "What am I going to do about it?"

I don't believe your past is the reason you can't do something. More often than not, it's about whether you're stubborn enough to do it anyway.

Let your sad story be fuel. Let it be the reason you push harder, grow bigger, and prove yourself wrong.

We all have a sob story. Not everyone chooses action.

My dad always used to say this whenever we complained about doing something we didn't want to do:

"You don't have to, you get to."

As a kid, I hated it.

I didn't understand the difference. To me, have to and get to meant exactly the same thing.

Now I see what he was trying to teach us.

There is privilege in getting to do the things we don't want to do.

We get to work out because our bodies can move.
We get to show up for our families because we have people who love and need us.
We get to work hard because we have opportunities worth pursuing.
We get to face challenges because it means we're alive, growing, and capable of more than we realize.

The hard things aren't always a burden. Sometimes they're a gift.

A reminder that what feels heavy today is something someone else would give anything to have the chance to do.

You don't have to. You get to. And that perspective changes everything. ✨

I used to think feeling ready was the goal.

I was an over-preparer. The planner. The person who wanted all the information before making a move. I took pride in being ahead, having a plan, and always feeling prepared for what was next.

Then life reminded me that not everything comes with a warning label.

There were things in my life and business that I wasn't prepared for at all. No amount of planning could have prepared me for some of the challenges, changes, and opportunities that came my way.

And instead of having all the answers, I learned something even more valuable:

I wasn't supposed to do it alone.

One of the greatest gifts this business has given me is access to a community of people I can lean on. People who have been where I am, faced what I'm facing, and are willing to share their experience. I realized I didn't need to know everything myself. When I didn't have the answers, I could find them through the people around me.

So if you're waiting until you feel ready, this is your reminder:

Ready isn't a feeling. It's a decision.

Because sometimes the best preparation isn't having all the answers. It's knowing exactly who to turn to when you don't.

It's no surprise that I'm a larger woman.

For a long time, I thought that meant there were things I wasn't allowed to do. That I didn't deserve to win. That success was for other people.

I was wrong.

I am a dedicated, hardworking, powerful woman. My size has never determined my worth, my potential, or what I am capable of achieving. I deserve to win too.

For years, I treated myself like a background character in my own life. I stayed quiet. I didn't try things because I was afraid of looking dumb or not being good enough right away. Sometimes it felt easier not to try at all.

But through personal growth and self-development, I found a confidence I never knew I was capable of.

The other day, a stranger called me a name. It bothered me for about 10 seconds... and then I moved on.

Because they don't know me.

They don't know my heart, my determination, my resilience, or how hard I've worked to become the woman I am today.

And honestly? I like me.

I am on my own journey, and I refuse to let other people's opinions define it.

I hope my girls grow up feeling this way too. I hope they know they are worthy, capable, and enough exactly as they are.

I am excited for what's ahead.

I'm never going to stop trying. And if I keep getting back up, keep learning, and keep moving forward, I can never truly fail.

Failure isn't the opposite of success. It's part of it.

I'm the main character in my own life now.

And I'm just getting started.
