Damian James built a podiatry business in Melbourne, bringing daytime care directly into aged care facilities instead of private clinics.

By 2015, the business had $200K profit on $2.5M revenue but growth had stalled. Instead of grinding it out himself, he did something many founders find hard: he let go. He hired a CEO, gave them equity tied to growth, and stepped back from daily operations.

What happened next:
✅ Revenue grew to $11M in under 3 years
✅ The business sold for $13.4 million in 2017
✅ Valuation increased over 500% in under three years
