This past Tuesday, Jeff had the opportunity to take centre stage alongside Jennifer Moir of Agewell Solutions and litigator Harold Geller at the IPC Wealth Summit in our nation’s capital.
This year’s theme was “Defining Moments,” and this certainly was one of them for Jeff. In a packed room of financial professionals, entrepreneurs, and peers, he had the opportunity to speak about something that is incredibly important: the role of dementia training in financial planning and the responsibility we have to the clients and families we serve.
Jeff often says, “We are in the relationship business, and we just happen to deal with money.” That relationship comes with both tremendous value and responsibility. It means knowing our clients well enough to recognize when something may be changing, having the difficult conversations early, putting plans in place, and, most importantly, helping to uphold clients’ financial autonomy and dignity for as long as possible.
Jeff and the entire K&A team are incredibly proud to be part of this important conversation and to continue learning, sharing, and advocating for a more dementia-aware financial services industry.
A very special thank you to Jennifer Moir and Harold Geller for sharing the stage with Jeff and for helping make this such an important conversation.
