May 29th will be my last day of work before I head into maternity leave with baby #5 🤍

For every one of my pregnancies before this, I worked until the very last minute, literally right before labour. This time feels different in the best way.

Over the years, I’ve built a business with the right team, the right support, amazing clients, and the kind of balance that allows me to step away and fully be present with my family during this special season.

I’ll officially be off from May 29th until October 5th, but my team will be here taking care of everything while I’m away. If you need anything during that time, please don’t hesitate to reach out, you’ll be in great hands. 🤍

I’m also excited to continue sharing this journey online showing that it’s possible to build wealth AND build a beautiful family life at the same time.

Follow along as I share more about business, balance, motherhood, finances, and creating a life that truly feels aligned. ✨

What scaling internationally actually looks like ⬇️

It’s not just beach days and big dreams.

It’s legal structures.

Visa applications.

Cross-border compliance.

Tax planning on two sides of the map.

Florida is beautiful.

But the real work is happening behind the scenes.

If you’re building something that feels bigger than you… You’re in the right place.

Follow along as I document the journey to Balance USA. 🌊

People love to say that babies slow your career down. But for me, every baby became part of the reason Balance grew. 🤍

Sophia came when the business was just an idea.

The twins came when we took a leap and acquired a bookkeeping block that changed everything.

Ashton came while we built our brick-and-mortar. And now baby #5 is here while we expand into the U.S. 🇺🇸

There were seasons of nursing between meetings, bedtime routines before late-night work, and learning how to build a business without missing the moments that mattered most.

Not because it was easy — but because I had the right systems, support, financial clarity, and team around me.

Motherhood didn’t take me away from my goals. It gave me a bigger reason to build them.

If you’re trying to grow your business while building a life you love too, we’d love to help bring clarity to your finances so you can move forward with confidence. ✨

Today, Sophia received her First Communion, a beautiful reminder that the strongest foundation we can give our children is a life rooted in Faith.

In a world that constantly pulls us in different directions, true balance comes from staying grounded in God’s love, grace, and purpose. Watching Sophia take this step in her journey reminds us that when Faith is at the center, everything else finds its place. ✨🤍🙏

We don’t take risks because we’re careless.

We take them because we believe growth requires movement.

Four homes before 30.
Career changes.
Cross-province moves to care for family.
Now international expansion.

The risks are bigger.
But so are the lessons.

If we’re building generational wealth…
We’re also building generational courage.

And that might be the greater investment.

Follow along as we keep choosing growth — together.

Tax season is over… and I’m finally back in expansion mode. 🇺🇸

One thing I’ve learned building businesses while raising a family?

You can’t just work harder forever. At some point, you need a smarter plan.

Right now, I’m focused on:
✔️ Expanding Balance USA
✔️ Exploring new visa options, including EB-5
✔️ Building scalable income through training + education
✔️ Creating more freedom before baby #5 arrives in just 8 weeks

There will always be more client work in accounting. Always.

But this season is about building systems, leverage, and long-term growth.

I’m currently working on a masterclass where I’ll be sharing what I’ve learned about building, scaling, and creating a business that supports your life — not consumes it.

If that’s something you’d want access to…

Comment READY below and I’ll send you the details first when it launches. 👇

Most business owners are leaving money on the table when it comes to vehicle write-offs.

The right strategy depends on:
• How much you use your vehicle for business
• Whether you lease or own
• If the vehicle is personally or corporately owned
• Your overall tax situation

In some cases, leasing through your corporation makes the most sense. In others, using the CRA per-km method can actually give you a better deduction with far less tracking.

For 2026, the CRA rates are:
• $0.73/km for the first 5,000 km
• $0.67/km after that

That means 7,500 business km could create a $5,325 deduction using a personally owned vehicle.

One thing that never changes: KEEP A KM LOG.

We recommend Dext since many of our clients already use it for expense tracking, but any reliable mileage tracking app works.

If you want help making sure your vehicle setup is fully optimized for taxes, fill out our intake form and we’ll help determine the best approach for your business.

Most people won’t like hearing this… but the Canadian tax system gives very few meaningful planning opportunities to the average T4 employee.

Outside of RRSP contributions — which are mostly a tax deferral, not permanent tax savings — there just isn’t much room to maneuver.

That’s why my focus is on business owners and real estate investors.

Because that’s where strategic planning actually changes outcomes.

Once you own businesses or assets, the conversation becomes completely different:
Corporate structures
Income splitting
Capital gains strategies
Estate planning
Deductible expenses

Long-term wealth preservation
The tax code rewards ownership.
Not employment.

That’s not opinion — that’s how the system is built.

If you’re a T4 employee, the biggest lever usually isn’t “finding more write-offs.”

It’s increasing income, investing consistently, and eventually building ownership.

Last day of tax season… and what a season it’s been.

Over 330 personal tax clients
175+ business & rental statements
63 corporate tax returns
57 HST filings
Hundreds of T4s created and processed
All within the first 120 days of the year.

Only those in tax truly understand the pressure, the pace, and the precision this season demands.

Behind it all is my lean but mighty team—this wouldn’t be possible without you.

To my clients, thank you for trusting us.

To my family, thank you for supporting me through the longest days (and nights).

And yes… I did all of this in the third trimester with baby #5 on the way.

Proof that with the right systems, planning, and people—you can do big things.

If you’re ready to be more organized next tax season, start now.

Fill out my intake form and let’s get you set up properly for the year ahead.
