You know, after 40 plus years of doing this job, I still can not believe the amount of people who do not have a will. I have seen the carnage that not having a will can cause the family. I have seen it tear families apart. For what? Do yourself and your family a favor and make a will.
Do those of you who do not have a will realize the mess that you create for your family and for your accountant? Your will doesn't have to be complicated. It doesn't have to be expensive either.
But I can tell you that having even the simplest will can make life so easy for the family left behind to deal with everything. It also stops the government from stepping in and taking what isn't theirs.
