We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Personal Income Tax Preparer to join our growing practice in Clarenville, NL. This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who takes pride in delivering accurate returns, excellent service, and maintaining compliance with Canada Revenue Agency requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and file T1 personal income tax returns accurately and efficiently

Review client documentation and identify eligible deductions and credits

Ensure compliance with current Canadian tax legislation

Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and personal information

Qualifications

Experience preparing Canadian personal income tax returns (minimum 1–2 years preferred)

Strong understanding of CRA filing requirements and tax regulations

Proficiency with tax preparation software

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and manage deadlines during busy season

Assets

Accounting or bookkeeping background

Experience handling self-employed, rental, or investment income returns

Prior experience in a public practice setting

We are looking for someone to join our team for the upcoming tax season. You will be responsible for preparing individual personal income tax returns including those of self employed businesses. You will have the full support of our accounting team. You are a self starter who can work without supervision, ideally having worked in a similar role previously or have relevant experience for the position. Salary for this position will be above average compensation for the right candidate.
