🥳 Celebrating 110 years this year! Scotian Gold Cooperative got its start in 1912 when a group of fruit growers got together and formed The United Fruit Companies of Nova Scotia. 🍎 Throwback to the old days! Do you remember the old 𝕾𝖈𝖔𝖙𝖎𝖆𝖓 𝕲𝖔𝖑𝖉?

The sweet smell of the apples still hits you today, as you walk through the front door. Ahh, it's a lovely, valley experience! 😌 And we couldn't have that without our dedicated farmers!!! Thank you all!!

"It does pose a threat to both the domestic poultry as well as wild birds," said Walsh. "Because when birds do congregate at sites, they can spread the infection through their f***s and other bodily fluids from their respiratory tract."

Nova Scotians are being asked to take down their bird feeders to help prevent the spread of avian flu. They are also being asked to report any sightings of sick or dead birds to the Natural Resources Department.
