π Proud Supporters of the Pacific Salmon Foundation
Living on the west coast, nature isn't just scenery β it's part of who we are. The mountains, the ocean, the rivers. And salmon.
Salmon are what ecologists call a keystone species β an organism so essential to its ecosystem that everything else depends on it. When salmon return to spawn, they feed eagles, bears, and wolves. Their decomposing bodies enrich the forest floor and fertilize the very trees that shade the streams their offspring will return to. The entire web of life on the BC coast is shaped by salmon.
Which is why we're proud to support the Pacific Salmon Foundation β a non-profit organization founded in 1987 and dedicated to making transformational change for Pacific salmon, from the smallest streams to the open ocean.
PSF works with First Nations, government, researchers, and communities across BC and the Yukon to restore declining populations, prevent future declines, and modernize how salmon are managed. Their teams of leading researchers and biologists conduct science, support Indigenous knowledge, and mobilize resources into lasting habitat restoration.
Two-thirds of salmon populations in BC are currently below their long-term averages. The work PSF does matters β for ecosystems, for communities, and for the west coast way of life we love.
