Can’t wait to share this presentation! Please register as spots are limited 😀
You might have heard the buzz… and no, it’s not just the last of the summer cicadas packing up their tiny suitcases and heading south.
The 4th Annual Seniors' Centre for Excellence Health & Wellness Fair (2026) is coming to Drayton PMD Arena on Thursday, October 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and we sure hope you’re planning to join us. It’s going to be informative, friendly, and quite possibly the most exciting thing to happen at the arena without anyone yelling, “Change lines!”
More great information will follow, but for now we wanted to let you know about the two incredibly informative workshops happening as part of the fair. Consider this your sneak peek—the trailer before the feature film, minus the popcorn.
Our first workshop, hosted by MMFHT Social Worker, Kristin Hunter, and student, Caden Cherrey, is all about tips and tricks for finding restful sleep. You’ll learn sleep strategies and practical ways to get a better night’s sleep—because counting sheep is fine, but if you start naming them, it may be time for backup.
Our second workshop, led by Cathy Burton from Burton Tax, will help us prepare for tax season with a side order of “What changed in my life in 2026, and how does that affect my taxes?” It’s practical, helpful, and may even make tax season feel less like being asked to solve a mystery written by the government.
We’re telling you about the workshops first because registration opens TODAY, and our workshops usually fill up faster than the good chairs at a community event—the padded ones, obviously. Registration is limited, so don’t wait too long, or you may be left saying, “I was just about to register,” which is the official cousin of “I knew I should have brought a casserole.”
Tarry not. Mosey, boot scoot boogie, or power-walk your way to registration, and pronto, to avoid disappointment: [email protected] or call the office at 519-638-1000.
