Did you hear about the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB)?
A federal benefit providing up to $200 per month (maximum $2,400 per year) for low-income Canadians with disabilities aged 18 to 64, launched in July 2025. *** Requires approval for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) from the Canada Revenue Agency! ***
NOTE: To apply for the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB), you must first qualify for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) and receive an invitation letter with a unique code, then you can apply online via My Service Canada Account (MSCA) https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/disability/canada-disability-benefit/apply.html (recommended), by calling Service Canada (1-833-486-3007), in person at a Service Canada Centre, or by mail using a printed form. You'll need your Social Insurance Number (SIN), banking info for direct deposit, and the application code from your letter.
