There are moments in business where you can feel the shift. This was one of them.

At the beginning of March, I had the opportunity to speak at the Business Mastery Summit alongside and , where I shared my message on The Storm Zones That Keep You Calm When Conditions Change. After standing in front of ~150 people, I realized this wasn’t just a talk—it was a milestone.

This message didn’t come from a textbook. It was forged in storms. From my early days in construction, to the high-pressure environment of a Big Four accounting firm, to now working alongside businesses navigating growth, uncertainty, and complexity.

I’ve helped businesses navigate that pressure in real time. And I’ve learned that calm isn’t something you wait for; it’s something you build.

I’m incredibly grateful to Kat and Thomas for the opportunity and the space to share, and to the team at for helping bring this vision to life behind the scenes. To my clients and my team—thank you for the encouragement, trust, and support leading up to this moment.

This experience represents stepping into a bigger version of the message I’m here to share. Because the goal isn’t to eliminate storms—it’s to build a business strong enough that you become the calm within them.

More to come. I’m just getting started.

What I Do for You, as a Fractional CFO

You may not need (or have the budget for) a full-time Chief Financial Officer — but that doesn’t mean your business can’t grow without CFO-level guidance. That’s where I come in.

I serve businesses ranging from $3M to $10M+ in revenue who are ready for their next level of growth — and need stronger financial leadership, better systems, and more clarity to get there.

As your Fractional CFO, I:
1. Provide financial strategy, guidance, and mentoring tailored to your business
2. Elevate your team and systems to drive sustainable profits and scalability
3. Partner with your existing bookkeeper and team, rather than replacing them
4. Deliver clear, timely reporting to support decision-making and growth
5. Bring a fresh perspective from working with multiple businesses in construction and manufacturing

The bookkeeping and systems that got you here won’t get you to the next level. CEOs in construction and manufacturing already juggle job costing, cash flow, inventory management, reporting, and personnel decisions. My role is to step in, cut through the complexity, and create clarity — so you can focus on running your business with confidence.

Hiring a Fractional CFO means you get strategic financial leadership without the $200k+ salary of a full-time CFO. It’s part-time, customizable, and designed to fit your unique needs — with all the benefits of expertise and none of the overhead.

Ready to hand over the financial stress and gain a reliable, sleeves-rolled-up partner in your corner?

Let’s connect.

Hi, I’m Angie! There has been a few changes and some new faces around here so it’s time to reintroduce myself!

I’m a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA) and Fractional CFO who partners with construction and manufacturing companies to bring order to financial chaos and create long-term sustainability.

My love for problem-solving started years ago on a construction site in northern Alberta, where I learned firsthand that the right systems and leadership could clear bottlenecks, reduce stress, and get businesses back on track. That lesson has shaped everything I do today.

With 20+ years of experience — including 12+ years at a Big Four firm — I now work alongside business owners to:
Build confidence in the numbers to make strong decisions
Create forecasts and reporting that provide clarity and direction
Strengthen team culture by leading with collaboration
Streamline financial systems so they support growth

I serve businesses ranging from $3M to $10M+ in revenue who are ready for their next level of growth — and need stronger financial leadership, better systems, and more clarity to get there.

When I’m not crunching numbers or rolling up my sleeves with clients, you’ll usually find me outdoors. Skiing in the winter, camping and hiking in the summer, or kicking back with my family.

Curious if your construction or manufacturing business is ready for a Fractional CFO? Let’s connect — I’d love to chat.

It’s time to meet her

It was a week of working late but she made her client’s deadline. Lying in bed, she felt accomplished yet pi**ed at herself. How did she land here again? Late nights, drained and depleted.

Tears rolled into her pillow. She let them flow, knowing she had to release the heaviness. Her own pressure, her need to please, and the fear of saying no had led her here again. The tears flowed until she fell asleep.

Hours later, a voice woke her. “It’s time to meet her.” Quick, confident, gone. She had heard it before. This time, she listened. She got up and packed for a trip.

In her car, she mapped a place in the mountains and drove. The roads were clear, the sun just starting to rise.

She wondered—what would “she” look like? What would “she” say? Fear whispered: what if I’m not enough?

At last, she reached a dark-wood cabin in the forest. She climbed the stairs, breathed deep, and stepped inside.

Pine and lavender filled the air. Peace. Belonging. In the living room—two cups of tea, and her. Her future self.

She sat across and smiled through tears. Her future self glowed; healthy and energetic.

She spoke:
“This past year was beautiful. I’m grateful for your devotion to self-care and protecting your energy. You set boundaries and put yourself first. You pursued your dreams with passion, found alignment, and received unwavering support from family, friends, and clients. You created, adventured, softened your edges, stood your ground, and found your authenticity. I’m proud of your courage to be you.”

After a beautiful evening together, it was time to return home. Her future self left her with one final message:

“The world needs your fire. Keep going.”

Recently, I did a 9-day liver cleanse. I thought I was just giving my body a reset. What I didn’t realize was that it would turn into a spiritual cleanse too.

I cut out dairy, eggs, and gluten. I delayed fats until supper, then eliminated them altogether. Every morning started with celery juice (which, surprisingly, tastes a little like the salt rim of a Caesar 🍹). It was veggies, fruits, and a whole lot of detoxing.

A few days in, my lower back started to ache—so badly I was convinced it was an infection. In the past, that meant antibiotics and moving on. But this time, I stopped and asked myself a different question:

“What is my body trying to tell me?”

The answer was clear:
• My calendar was overflowing.
• I had zero time for myself.
• I was drained from carrying a heavy workload.
• And my self-talk was on repeat: “I don’t have enough time. I’ll just push through.”

So instead of calling a doctor, I looked at my calendar. I shifted in-person meetings online. I pushed some tasks forward.

And I found ways for my team to help me more instead of taking it all on.

Then, I created space for self-care and reflection.

The pain eased. The “infection” disappeared. What remained was a body reminding me to get to the chiropractor after weeks of neglect.

And here’s the lesson I took away:
The body and mind are always in conversation. If you don’t stop to listen, the body will speak louder until you do.

As women, we often carry both the emotional load and the professional load—and we forget that we can’t pour from an empty cup. From a CFO lens, I see it like this:
• Our energy is cash, don’t over spend it.
• When we overspend it, the body sends the bill.
• Creating space is like building reserves.
• Self-care is an investment—not an expense.
• And getting support is essential—no one should carry it all alone.

This cleanse showed me just how deeply connected our mind and body (and calendar) really are. And that the best ROI sometimes comes from making space, not squeezing more in.

If you can relate, take care of you. You are an investment that will pay dividends if you treat yourself right.

Lately, it feels like everywhere I turn—conversations, podcasts, group chats—perimenopause is front and center.

So I’m piping in… not just as a woman in the thick of it, but as a CFO who’s learning to balance more than just numbers.

Here’s the truth:

We’ve been mentally tough for so long—high-performing, high-capacity, high-achieving.
But our bodies? They’re waving the white flag.

Perimenopause isn’t just a hormonal shift—
It’s a wake-up call.

It’s your body saying:
“You’ve tolerated too much for too long. It’s time to rebalance.”

From a CFO lens, I’d say:

You can’t run a thriving business on depleted systems—and your body’s no different.

It’s time to lower the threshold, audit the drains, and reallocate energy to what actually serves you.

This isn’t about doing less.

It’s about doing what matters with more support, less shame, and way more self-respect.

Anyone else feeling this recalibration?
