Plan ahead as tax season is coming up!
As CRA's EFILE service will be opening on February 24, 2025, here are some things you can do to prepare yourself for tax season:
🔳Knowing the deadlines:- For most individuals, tax filing deadline is April 30, 2025 and June 15, 2025 for self employed. However, if taxes are owed then April 30th is the last day to submit payment.
🔳Collect receipts:- Start collecting all your receipts from now. Such as, RRSPs, Medical, Donations etc.
🔳Going Online:- Sign up for My Account with CRA to view and manage your tax and benefit information. For business owners, sign up for My Business to access your information online.
Sign up for direct deposit to file online to avoid delays with your Notice of Assessment and any refund (if any). Use email as a contact so you can get notified with any new mail or activity with your account, such as address change, direct deposit changes, track fraud activity etc.
