Please NOTE that we have a small crew of staff at the office with most staff working remotely today so we will likely have to close early.

If you have tried to venture out on the roads today, you can truly appreciate the disastrous state of side roads.
There is no guarantee that side roads will be opened up for the start of business on Tuesday
As of now, we are tentatively planning to open the office at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 17 🍀
This will be reevaluated later this evening and certainly Tuesday morning, and if conditions of roads do not improve by Tuesday morning, it is highly likely that the office will have to remain closed again.
So please call 705-566-5792 before heading to the office and if you do not get to speak with an individual and if nobody returns your voicemail within 30 minutes, please delay your visit until Wednesday or Thursday.
That said, our staff is equipped to work remotely and while they along with all people in our city, must first maintain the safety of their family and their homes. You may reach out to our staff by email with any questions.
Greater Sudbury remains under a Significant Weather Event. Crews are continuing to clear roads, with priority on main arteries and routes that support emergency access. Local and residential streets will be addressed as conditions allow.
During a Significant Weather Event, road-clearing timelines are suspended while crews respond in hazardous and changing conditions, so we are not able to provide estimated times for when specific roads will be plowed.
Please avoid unnecessary travel, drive to conditions and give snowplows space to work. Residents are also asked not to place waste, green cart or blue box materials at the curb today or tomorrow morning, as this will interfere with snow clearing operations. Alternate collection dates will be communicated. GOVA remains non-operational at this time.
