In Simple terms

A rights issue is an option a company has to raise money(capital) by offering its EXISTING shareholders the opportunity to buy ADDITIONAL shares at a certain price, often at a discount.

Here’s how it works :

1. Existing Shareholders: Only current investors who already own shares of the company can participate in the rights issue. Based on the information in the time table. Everyone who buys shares between NOW and 21st JULY 2026 . Will qualify for this issue.

2. It’s an Offer of More Shares: The company tells the shareholders that they can buy more shares, usually in proportion to what they already own.

3. Discounted Price: The price at which these additional shares will be offered will be lower than the current market price, making it an attractive opportunity to own more shares in the company at a reduced price. It’s actually a low cost REWARD to shareholders.

4. Time Limit: Shareholders usually have a limited period to decide whether to participate in the rights issue. This process is time bound so the opportunity can only be exploited within the given window. According to the table , it will close on 26th August 2026.

5. Raising Capital: The whole objective from the company’s perspective is usually to raise capital for business growth or just to improve its financial health. If the company fails to raise the targeted amount from existing shareholders, they can decide to open it up to non shareholders.
