Easter Seals - Many of us remember the Easter Seals Telethon which was the primary fundraising event in our area for Easter Seals to raise funds to provide the pivotal support that can empower a child with a disability to discover and develop their own breakthrough potential. Whether it is $500 for a new walker, $1,000 for a ramp, or $2,400 for an eight-day session at Easter Seals’ fully accessible summer camps. Unfortunately, the telethon came to an end a few years ago.
2023 was the first year in Windsor for the Easter Seals Celebrity Hockey Challenge. I had the opportunity to participate and see first hand how all of our support can give a child the tools they need to overcome barriers and reach new heights. This is why Peritus Tax and Accounting has become an Annual Corporate Sponsor of this event.

Peritus Tax and Accounting is supporting this cause to help the 20,000 kids in Ontario living with physical disabilities to bring them independence, acceptance, and to send them to camp, provide the funds that help families purchase essential equipment that their child requires for safety, mobility, inclusion and dignity. Easter Seals goal is that all children and youth should be included and “KIDS” should be “KIDS”.
