🔐 CRA is adding another layer of protection for online tax filing!

Beginning February 22, 2027, the CRA will introduce an optional authentication step for individuals and tax preparers filing 2026 personal tax returns electronically.

For taxpayers, now is a good time to:

✅ Register for a CRA account
✅ Make sure you can access your account
✅ Add a backup multi-factor authentication method
✅ Update your personal information

Preparing early can help prevent delays during tax season.
