Congratulations to Herb Carnegie, a hockey pioneer and a long-time IG advisor, for finally being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, Class of 2022.

Herb was considered one of the best hockey players of his generation, but unfortunately never played in the NHL due to racial barriers of the time. Herb worked for IG for 32 years, serving his clients and communities with excellence and passion, just like he played while on the ice.

IG created the Herbert H. Carnegie Community Service Award in 2003 in his name to honour individuals and their commitment to their communities. A wonderful and well-deserved recognition!

Jim Mignault, the principal of our team, was presented this prestigious award for his extraordinary long-term community service in 2012!

IG has released our annual Financial Confidence Index which tracks Canadians' overall financial sentiment and outlook. This year, the index revealed Canadians' overall financial confidence has fallen 11% largely due to a lack of trust in the economy, but those who work with an advisor are feeling much more confident. The index also showed some interesting findings across different regions and demographics.
