In honour of my Dad, who lived with dementia, I’m supporting the Memories Cafés Program. While on this journey with my Dad, I learned patience and humility. I want other families to feel seen and supported. I’m hopeful for a future where no one has to face this alone. The Memories Cafés Program will provide a safe space for caregivers of those living with dementia, to gain support and feel heard and seen.
To have Debbie Linehan accept my donation, on behalf of the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation, was heartwarming. Our Dads journeyed together at US Memorial in their final days. 💜

We are incredibly grateful to Tina Belliveau and Co-operators for their generous $5,000 sponsorship of our Memory Cafés Program!
Our Memory Cafés will provide welcoming, supportive spaces for people living with dementia and their caregivers to come together, connect with others, enjoy activities and conversation, and build a sense of community in a relaxed environment.
This generous support from Co-operators will help us bring Memory Cafés to communities throughout the Burin Peninsula, helping reduce isolation and creating meaningful opportunities for connection for both individuals living with dementia and those who care for them.
