Eventhough CRA employees are striking, Tax Filing deadline is still Monday May 1st. (April 30 is Sunday).

This deadline is especially true if you owe. If you file the final return late and there is a balance owing, the CRA will charge a late filing penalty.

The penalty is 5% of any balance owing, plus 1% of the balance owing for each full month that the return is late, to a maximum of 12 months.

You can drop off deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, feminine hygiene and other common toiletries. As Winter is nearing the end, and before Spring Season, we have the RRSP Season which we are in presently, and then soon after the TAX Season. For many it is a rather short season in which one must contribute to their RRSP and for others (along with Financial Planners) it is time to review, adjust and allocate the investments to their Retirement Plan.
