Looking for someone who loves numbers as much as they love seeing our clients succeed.
As a senior bookkeeper, you can see beyond the numbers and anticipate our clients' needs. You will need to be comfortable communicating with clients verbally and in writing.
You will also have several years experience in bookkeeping in Canada, and very proficient in full cycle bookkeeping.
With clients in many diverse industries, we require a senior bookkeeper with impeccable attention to detail, and able to see the big picture of every client when working on their books.
This opportunity has the potential to be a work-remotely hybrid arrangement - some work must be performed in our central Nanaimo office, while some work may be acceptable to be done remotely.
Only individuals with experience using Sage 50, QuickBooks Desktop, and QBO need apply. Proficient experience in GSuite applications is a desirable qualification. Interested applicants should have thorough knowledge of payroll including BC employment standards and WorkSafe BC, as well as PST and GST regulations.
$22 - $29 per hour depending on experience.

Looking to add a competent, experienced bookkeeper to our team. Applicants should be:
- Local to the mid-island area
- Available to work in-office, onsite, and remotely
We are seeking a bookkeeper with good analytical and problem solving skills, who has experience in multiple industries. Applicants should be very familiar with excise and income tax regulations and reporting requirements, as well as payroll and related reporting. Preference will be given to applicants with extensive experience using Quickbooks Desktop, Quickbooks Online, Sage 50 Desktop, Etax BC, and CRA's Represent A Client.
Applicants should be highly organized, efficient, and able to work within compliance and reporting deadlines. Communication with clients will be frequent and ongoing, as such
applicants should also possess excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, and be confident in their ability to ascertain information necessary to complete required tasks while respecting the client's time.
At this time, we are not entertaining applications from offshore bookkeepers or firms.
Pay will be hourly, based on time input to the time and billing software, and will be commensurate with education and experience.
