A look at Neptune after dark.

As the sun sets over Burrard Inlet, terminal operations continue — connecting rail, material handling, and marine shipping at our North Vancouver terminal.

Night or day, every part of that process helps move Canadian steelmaking coal and potash through the supply chain and on to international markets.

Supporting the next generation starts with creating opportunities to learn.

This spring, Neptune welcomed students from Capilano University and Carson Graham Secondary School for tours of our North Vancouver terminal, giving them a closer look at port operations and potential career paths in the industry.

We are also proud to provide hands-on work experience this year through co-op and summer student opportunities across areas such as Human Resources, Communications, Finance, and Capital Projects.

Thank you to the students who joined us, and to the Neptune team members helping share their knowledge along the way.

As global demand for critical minerals, steel, and agricultural products continues to grow, Neptune plays an important role in connecting Canadian resources to the world.

Two of Canada's most important resources - steelmaking coal from B.C.'s Elk Valley and potash from Saskatchewan - travel by rail to North Vancouver before being loaded onto vessels bound for markets across Asia, South America, Europe, and beyond.

Say hi to Jatinder (JT) Sidhu, Operations Manager at Neptune.

JT has been part of the Neptune team since 2014, working across roles in both our Potash and Coal systems before taking on his current role overseeing day-to-day terminal operations and the safe movement of cargo.

Outside of work, JT recently made the North Shore home - and has been busy exploring the trails, restaurants, and local events this community has to offer with his family.

Happy Canada Day from all of us at Neptune Terminals.

As a proudly Canadian company rooted on the North Shore, we are grateful for the communities, landscapes, and people that make this country so special - and for the privilege of being part of this region for more than 50 years.

We are grateful to operate on the unceded ancestral territories of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, and Musqueam Peoples, and on this day we honour their heritage, their culture, and our shared responsibility of caring for this land.

Here's to a wonderful day celebrating our country and the people who make it home.

For more than 47 years, the North Shore has come together to celebrate Canada Day at the Shipyards - and this July 1 is no exception.

The Rotary Club of Lions Gate is once again hosting the annual Canada Day celebration at the foot of Lonsdale and into the Shipyards, running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free, family-friendly event features local entertainers, kids' activities, food trucks, and community programming.

This year there is a special focus on staying active and healthy as excitement builds around the FIFA World Cup in Vancouver, with Canada Soccer on site bringing soccer-themed activities and energy to the waterfront. The Royal Canadian Navy will also be participating.

Neptune is proud to support this event alongside the many volunteers, local businesses, and community organizations that make it possible year after year.

We hope to see you there.

We are proud to share some exciting news!

Neptune has achieved a perfect score across all seven applicable performance indicators in the 2025 Green Marine certification.

We received Level 5 results in Air Emissions and Greenhouse Gases, Community Impacts, Community Relations, Dry Bulk Handling and Storage, Environmental Leadership, Spill Prevention and Stormwater Management, and Waste Management.

According to Green Marine's 2025 Performance Report, Neptune was one of only three terminals to receive Level 5 across all applicable indicators.

Green Marine is a voluntary environmental certification program for the North American maritime industry, evaluating participants on a scale of 1 to 5, and Neptune has been a certified member since 2012.

This recognition reflects the work our team does every day across our North Vancouver terminal - from how we manage our operations to how we continue improving environmental performance in the community where we work.

Thank you to Green Marine for this recognition, and to everyone at Neptune whose work supports continual improvement across our operations.

The Mining for Miracles Pie Throw campaign has come to an end, and we couldn’t be prouder of what this team accomplished.

We are thrilled to share that Neptune’s team, led by Chui Wong, Vice President of Finance & Administration, raised $33,820 for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s new Centre for Health Complexity — more than double our initial goal of $15,000.

Together with Dallas Cain from EVR, the team raised $133,786.04. In the friendly competition against Craig Olley of Trigon Pacific Terminals and Mike O’Shaughnessy of EVR, the combined total reached $205,212.34 — with Chui and Dallas taking the win and avoiding the pie.

In total, this year’s Mining for Miracles campaign raised $2,109,340. We are grateful to be part of the BC mining community that came together for such an important cause and helped make this year’s campaign a success.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and cheered us on — your support will make a meaningful difference for children and families across BC.

Happy Father's Day from the Neptune team!

This Father's Day, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, uncles, and all the father figures across our team, families, and community — thank you for the dedication, love, and inspiration you bring every day.

Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day — a time during National Indigenous History Month to honour the heritage, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada.

Neptune's office is located on the unceded ancestral lands of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, and Musqueam Nations. For us, operating on these territories is an ongoing commitment to listen, reflect, and learn about the histories, cultures, and traditions of the Coast Salish peoples.

In 2024, we had the privilege of welcoming award-winning Squamish Nation artist Xwalacktun to create a mural at our Forester Street location. Featuring a wolf, thunderbird, and cedar branches, this piece not only tells a story through the symbols woven into the artwork, but it also deepens our connection to the traditional teachings and heritage rooted in this region.

Last year, Xwalacktun returned on Truth and Reconciliation Day to share stories with our team and lead a blessing of the mural with the Snowbird Song — a moment that reminded us of the importance of learning, and walking the path of reconciliation together.

We are grateful for Xwalacktun's guidance, his generosity, and the ongoing relationship that continues to teach us.
