Seems like negative headlines are all we see in the news these days- most having some kind of effect on markets and consumer sentiment. Love this video by Manulife's Co-Chief Investment Strategist Macan Nia, who explains that being invested in the stock market is never smooth. . In this video he highlights that since 1980, the broad U.S. market as measured by the S&P 500, has been positive 80% of the time. The other 20% always seems horrible in the moment, however, investors have typically been rewarded by sticking out the tough times and having a long term plan.

Apple picking season is in full swing! A few of our staff went a bit overboard this year and are now left wondering what to do with all those apples?!

We've made crumbles, pies, fried apple sides and jars upon jars of applesauce! After all those sweet takes on apple dishes, we're ready to try something a little more savory. This recipe, Maple Braised Apples and Pork, from the Solutions Magazine caught our eye with a tasty combo of maple, apples and sage.
