Happy Small Business Week, Petawawa!

From the shops and restaurants we visit to the service providers we rely on, our small businesses help make our community what it is.

Small Business week runs from October 19 to 25 and this year’s Small Business Week theme is “It’s a two-speed world now: fast or finished,” highlighting the importance of keeping up with a changing business landscape. But one thing hasn’t changed: local businesses matter.

According to the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, 66 cents of every dollar spent at a small business stays in the local economy. That’s a pretty great reason to think local when you’re deciding where to shop, eat or get a service.

We encourage everyone to show some extra love to Petawawa’s small businesses this week and all year long. Stop by a local shop, try somewhere new, recommend a business to a friend or leave a positive review.

Every little bit helps!
