Here’s the truth: Canada’s tax system is marginal, which means only the income above each bracket is taxed at the higher rate — not all of it.

📊 Example:
If the next bracket starts at $55,000 and you earn $56,000,
only that extra $1,000 gets taxed at the higher rate.
Your lower income still gets taxed at the lower rates.
