We ask something different.

"What's missing from your financials?"
Your books should be built around that answer.

A clinic needs to track practitioner utilization.
A trades company needs to know job profitability.
An e-commerce business needs product margins.
A non-profit needs to track funding by grant.

Same software. Completely different setup.

When your books are organized around generic categories instead of your actual operations and information needs, your reports tell you what happened. But they can't tell you why, or what to do next.

That's the difference between books that exist and books that add value and books that work.

When the setup matches how your business runs, your reports stop being a record and start being a tool. You make decisions faster. You spot problems earlier. You stop guessing.

If you don't like numbers, it doesn't disqualify you from running a profitable business.

We believe that business owners who feel in control aren't better at math. They just pay attention to the right key pieces of information.

A good place to start is to check:

1. What came in
2. What went out and where it went
3. What's still owed (to you and from you) and when it's due

No spreadsheet obsession. No finance degree. Just three numbers and about fifteen minutes.

The catch? Your data has to be entered correctly and on time. Even a short delay can leave you making decisions based on an outdated picture of your business. That’s where many solopreneurs and small business owners fall behind.

You can collect on stale receivables.
You can reprice and finish the year at a margin you've been chasing since January.
You can pick any goal you set at the beginning of the year and zero in.

Kick off your Q4 with these questions:
What has to get invoiced?
What has to get decided?
What has to get cleaned up before December 31?

The year isn't graded yet. This is the quarter that writes the ending.

We're honoured to be named finalists for the 2026 ABEX Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award. We have a team of 14 people from 9 different countries, Canada included, and backgrounds, and believe those different perspectives are exactly what bring strength.

We don't know what we don't know, and we can't appreciate what we've never had to walk through ourselves.

That's why we keep inviting more people into our circle, whether it's ethnicity, nationality, language, or gender.

It serves to enrich and educate, and we believe education is the key, because the more we know, the better we can be.

Whatever you pick, we've seen it.

We've unpacked shoe boxes full of receipts. Glove boxes stuffed with crumpled invoices. And then there's the memorable "misc" folder with three years' worth of financials just... living in there.

Not once did the mess tell us anything about how capable the owner was.

Seriously. The most successful business owners we work with had some of the most chaotic starting points. Admin dread has nothing to do with how smart or driven you are.

It usually just means you've been too busy actually running your business to deal with the paperwork.

That's fixable.

With the right system and the right person in your corner, the backlog stops feeling so overwhelming and starts feeling like a problem with a solution.

After the war began in my native Ukraine, Canada welcomed me and became a true second home, for which I am deeply grateful.

I am excited to bring my previous financial experience and true dedication to my work into this new chapter of my life.

At JTM Business Solutions, I focus on staying organized, managing multiple tasks efficiently, and finding practical solutions to everyday challenges. I am so happy to be part of the team. It feels wonderful to do work I enjoy while supporting local entrepreneurs.

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be useful and make a positive, practical contribution to Canadian businesses and the community.

Outside the world of numbers and financial reports, I have a few hobbies that help me find balance and keep my mind active. I love reading and am always eager to learn something new. I also enjoy baking.

In my free evenings, you can often find me knitting warm sweaters and cardigans, a hobby that requires the same precision and patience as bookkeeping.
