Back to my early childhood days of playing cards with my grandfather and him purposely cheating to make sure I was paying attention and adding properly (cribbage), I have always loved numbers and the challenge they can present. In my school years the love for numbers continued and I was honour rolling mathematics. (the only thing that could keep my interest in school)
I started doing my own taxes
and taxes for family and friends at 18 years old. From there I went into a career in the Casino industry and was a dealer for 7+ years, dealing every single game the casinos offered. My math had excelled to the point that when dealing Roulette (1,2,5,6,8,11,17 and 35x multiplication tables needed and crossed) my supervisors and pit bosses would not even take the time to verify larger payouts as they trusted my knowledge and knew I had it right without even looking. While still doing taxes, getting married and starting a family, I changed careers a couple of times. I finally stepped into doing some bookkeeping for small businesses. After working for a large corporation and seeing what they grossly over billed the client for the work I was performing, I decided to open up Murray Financial Solutions in 2012 and went back to college to earn an honour roll college degree in Accounting and Payroll. I believe that no one should be paying $60-$500+/hr to have their accounting needs for their businesses taken care of.
