Friends, clients, and colleagues!

As the number of Canadians victimized by crypto fraud and other online scams is rising at an unprecedented pace, and as I have been innocently pulled into the middle of it.... I have decided its time to fight back.

I have for a long time been asking professional bodies and government to educate the public more about how to protect themselves, but it seems to be falling on deaf ears.

As such, I've taken it upon myself to release a mini series explaining what these scams are, what the red flags or warning signs might be that you've been targeted, how these scams have evolved over time, and what to do of you've been a victim.

I have published the initial four videos on YouTube today I would ask that you watch and share with your friends, colleagues, and loved ones - with a special emphasis on those who are older and less tech savvy. I should note, however, that in my work I see victims of all age ranges, cultures, educational backgrounds.... This is something we can only fight by arming people with information ahead of time.

SCAM ALERT!!

I have recently been made aware that my name is being used in a scam targeting victims of "Pig Butchering Scams", an area in which I specialize!

A "Pig Butchering Scam" is a type of investment scam where a scammer convinces a victim to invest in a fake or legitimate cryptocurrency with false promises of high returns, with the goal of stealing their money. The scammer builds trust with the victim, often through social media or online platforms, and then asks for increasingly larger investments, ultimately absconding with the victim's funds.

These international scammers are now using my name, along with a fake "lawyer", to attempt to elicit further funds from victims. I want to assure the public that I do not initiate contact with individuals, and any communication claiming to be from me should be treated with caution.

Important Information:
- I never contact people out of the blue, and I never ask for money.
- If you receive an email or message claiming to be from me, please verify the authenticity of the communication by contacting me directly through my official email address or LinkedIn.
- Never send funds or respond to suspicious messages.

What to Do If You've Been Contacted:

- Report the incident to the authorities, such as the Police and Anti-Fraud Centre.
- Contact me directly through my official email address, LinkedIn, or phone number to verify the authenticity of the communication.
- Do not respond to or engage with the scammers in any way.
