If you are a partner or co-owner of a residential property that is rented out, please make yourself familiar with the new Underutilized Housing Tax.
You could be required to file the UHT 2900 form by April 30th. This form is not part of your tax professionals Personal Tax T1 software and is therefore a separate filing. Please see the link:

The Underused Housing Tax (UHT) is a national, annual 1-per-cent tax on the value of non-resident, non-Canadian owned residential real estate that is considered to be vacant or underused.
